Why We GLOW
GLOW began with Nox.
He’s about to turn ten. I can see his body changing — the itchy skin creeping back, the slower rise to his feet, the way he takes the ramp now instead of the stairs. His teeth are worn from a lifetime of play. He is, as I’ve made my peace with saying, actively aging — normally, whatever “normal” even means.
But oh, the joy is still there. He still chases squirrels he’ll never catch. He still works the boardwalk slat by slat, nose down, hunting rabbits like it’s his sworn duty. And every morning he announces himself to the whole park — Mr. Barks a Lot — until a friend calls back over the fence, “Good morning… Nox! I knew it was you. We’ll be right out with Astro.” The day that bark goes quiet, I’ll know something’s wrong. Until then, it’s the happiest sound I know.
For every neighbor watching a beloved dog grow gray and trying to help them age with grace — you are not alone in this. These recipes are gentle by design: soft on tired teeth, kind to sensitive stomachs, made from real, wholesome ingredients. Little plates for the dogs who’ve given us their whole lives.
Let’s give our old friends what they’ve given us all along: comfort, dignity, and a few more good mornings.
